Programme: Study of all principles of basic technique for right hand and left hand as well as correct use/function of the cello and bow.
Score analysis, harmonic, formal and stylistic-historical knowledge.
Development of abilities in order to select a personalized method of study and of programming of work.
Development of abilities of expression and communication in public.
Refinement of ear training in the study phase and analysis and development of the ability of listening to oneself in the presence of an audience.
Study of performance practice history and repertoire in a broad sense (from the exercises of Sevcik and études to more simple compositions, up through the standard repertoire).
Admission requirements: Two movements from a Bach Suite of the candidate’s choice
One étude which demonstrates the candidate’s level
Two movements of the candidate’s choice (one fast and one slow) taken from an important composition for cello and orchestra or cello and piano
(the choice of repertoire will be taken into consideration during the audition)
Exam: 2018 November 19th at 2 p.m
Lessons: according to a schedule established by the professor. First period of lessons: 2018 November 20th, 21st, 22nd

Fees: Individual course registration fee (non-refundable, to be enclosed with the application form) valid also as auditor’s attendance fee: € 100,00.
