The Dutch session of Violanet, the European viola da gamba network involving our School and other prestigious European educational institutions, will take place from 24 to 28 February in The Hague. Five intense days with professors Mieneke van der Velden of the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, Vittorio Ghielmi from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Marianne Muller from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique of Lyon, Imke David from the Hochschule Franz Liszt of Weimar, Sara Ruiz Martínez of the Conservatorio superiore di musica of Vigo, in addition of course to our own professor Bettina Hoffmann.
Violanet's rich programme includes two concert-conferences on the theme “The expression of the Passions”. The first is held by flautist and conductor Jed Wentz on 24th February, with performances by Stefan Woudenberg and Alex Baker, and the second is held by baritone and researcher João Luis Paixão on the 25th, with the participation of Magdalena Kasprzyk and Alex Baker.
On 27th February, a concert-presentation will be held with the European Youth Viol Consort, the ensemble comprised of students participating in Violanet.
