Violanet Festival of Salzburg and European Youth Viol Consort concert. Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Mirabellplatz 1 Salzburg, Austria, 21- 25 November 2019

The Mozarteum of Salzburg hosts the next meeting for the participants of the Violanet project: from 21 to 25 November, the institutions who have united in the European network dedicated to the Viola da gamba send students and professors to Austria for an intense work program that includes masterclasses, conferences, meetings, concerts and the development of the guidelines for a high level educational course shared between the experts.
Doing the honors of playing the host this time will be Vittorio Ghielmi, professor at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, welcoming Bettina Hoffman from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Imke David from the Hochschule Franz Liszt of Weimar, Mieneke van der Velden from the Koinklijk Conservatorium of The Hague, Sara Ruiz of the Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Vigo, and Marianne Müller from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse of Lyon, representing France as a new partner in the project.
The meeting in Salzburg anticipates the participation of other illustrious musicians like Johannes Boer and Cristiano Contadin, and of some professors from the Early Music Institution of the Mozarteum.
Two concerts will offer the public the chance to approach multiform and repertoire for the Viola da gamba; November 22 with the ensemble gathered by Vittorio Ghielmi (in which soloists Christoph Urbanetz and Luca Pianca will take part) and on November 24 with the Violanet students gathered for a second time in the European Youth Viol Consort, after the Galician debut in Vigo last June.
