Susanna Bertuccioli studied at the Conservatorio “G. Rossini” in Pesaro, under the guidance of B. M. Monteverde. She studied also with M. Costello at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, л.I. Roncea at the Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest and S. McDowell in Umbria Jazz.


She won first prizes of the harp competition “Victor Salvi” and the competition “Petrini-Zamboni”. From 1982 to 1984 he served as First Harp at the European Community Youth Orchestra under the baton of Claudio Abbado, working in parallel with the Italian Youth Orchestra. Since 1985 she plays as First Harp at “Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino”. Throughout his career she has also collaborated with the Italian Swiss Radio Orchestra, the
London Sinfonietta, the Toscanini Philharmonic, La Scala Philharmonic and finally, in 2007, 2009 and 2014, at the invitation of Maestro Zubin Mehta, she has performed as First Harp with the “Israel Philharmonic Orchestra”.
Since 2009 she has held master classes in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. In 2013 she was invited to the 8th World Harp Festival in Rio de Janeiro and in 2015 at the 4th World Harp Festival in Paraguay.
Since 2001 she has recorded a series of albums: the CD for Harp only “Nevel” for Beat Records with their arrangements, then the two CD “Celtic Music” and “New Percussion” for RAI Trade, used by the Italian Television as the soundtrack of some transmissions.
She is also active in the educational field, as Professor of Harp at the Fiesole School of Music and holding master classes about Italian literature for harp in the orchestra in Italy and Europe.
