Piano Postgraduate Course
Teacher Elisso Virsaladze – 5 sessioni
The piano postgraduate course taught by Elisso Virsaladze is an outstanding program offered by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole to young pianists holding a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma.
The goal of the piano postgraduate course is to enhance the instrumental and interpretative skills of young musicians, under the guidance of a teacher with extraordinary experience and internationally renown as a concert artist.
In line with the School’s educational approach, concerts and public performance opportunities available to the students of the piano postgraduate course provide an essential chance to share the results of their training and are considered an integral part of the program.
The piano postgraduate course fosters the artistic and professional development of talented students, who will acquire the preparation required to start high-level careers in the music field.
The most deserving students can apply for scholarships awarded through an annual internal competition.
The program of the postgraduate piano course covers the milestones of the traditional piano repertoire, with an in-depth focus on technical and interpretative aspects across five intensive teaching sessions, during which the participation of all students is strongly recommended.
The best students – at the sole discretion of the teacher – will be invited to perform in dedicated recitals organized throughout the year.
The piano postgraduate course is aimed at young musicians (up to 30 years old) holding a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma. Exceptionally talented young pianists may be admitted even if they do not yet hold the required diplomas.
The course will be activated only if a minimum number of students is reached.
Auditors are welcome.
To be admitted to the piano postgraduate course, candidates must present 20 minutes of music of their choice, suitable to demonstrate their instrumental skills.
