The Three-year academic program in lute is a comprehensive training path designed to guide young musicians toward obtaining the First-level Academic Diploma in Higher Artistic and Musical Education (AFAM), equivalent to a bachelorโs degree.
At the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, aspiring lute players follow a rich and demanding curriculum aimed at developing a deep artistic awareness. This includes an understanding of the historical evolution of the lute, its role in the performance practices of early music, and the compositional styles of musical language in different European countries during the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The advanced lute program also includes training in basso continuo, ornamentation, improvisation, music technology, and a second European language as part of its educational objectives.
