The violin masterclasses held by Yair Kless at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole are a postgraduate course for violin soloists who wish to deepen their preparation and knowledge of the repertoire under the guidance of one of the world’s most illustrious violin teachers, with a prestigious concert career.
The two sessions offer the opportunity to explore technical and interpretative matters in depth and to receive the valuable advice of a concert artist with vast teaching experience such as Yair Kless.
The aim of the violin masterclasses is to develop the potential of young violinists through important works of the repertoire, filling any gaps and providing effective solutions to technical and interpretative challenges.
Numerous opportunities for public performance allow students to test the progress achieved; the best students (at the teacher’s sole discretion) will take part in additional recitals during the year.
An annual internal competition awards scholarships to the most deserving students.
The violin masterclasses are aimed at violin soloists holding a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma. Young musicians of outstanding talent may be admitted even if they do not yet hold a diploma.
The violin masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole include work on basic technique and on the solo, chamber, and orchestral violin repertoire, tailored to the needs and abilities of each student.
Interpretative flexibility is also addressed through a historically informed approach.

Annual individual registration fee (non-refundable, payable upon application and also valid for auditors): €130
Annual individual attendance fee, payable in a single installment by 10 January or in monthly installments by direct debit/credit card with a 5% surcharge: €600
