The annual postgraduate trumpet course of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole offers young trumpet players holding a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma the opportunity to enhance their skills and expand their knowledge of trumpet repertoire under the guidance of an experienced main teacher with a distinguished teaching and performing career.
The course is further enriched by guest teachers, each giving a masterclass, providing valuable expertise and perspectives.
Public concerts organised throughout the year by the School allow students to test their preparation and are an integral part of the educational path.
An annual internal competition (March/April) awards scholarships to the most deserving students. Thanks to the high-quality training, the professional opportunities arising from the postgraduatetrumpet course place talented young trumpet players at the top levels of the music profession.

The postgraduate trumpet course is mainly aimed at musicians who already hold a diploma – first-level AFAM or pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma -.
Exceptionally talented students who do not yet hold the required qualifications may also be admitted.
Auditors are welcome.
The course will only be activated if the minimum number of students is reached.

The program of the postgraduate trumpet course includes the study of instrumental technique and orchestral excerpts from the lyric and symphonic repertoire.
The goal of the postgraduate trumpet course is to improve the approach to the instrument and prepare students for orchestra auditions.
The best students, at the sole discretion of the teacher, will perform in recitals during the course year.
