For talented young musicians, the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole organizes instrument and voice masterclasses held by well-known performers who are also internationally renowned teachers.

Each masterclass will be activated once a minimum number of enrollments has been reached.

Contents of the masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole

In the lessons of the masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, students will have the opportunity to deepen aspects of instrumental technique and expressiveness, placing performance practices related to the chosen repertoire in their historical context.

Masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole at Villa Demidoff in Pratolino (Florence)

Most of the masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole take place in the spaces of Villa Demidoff in Pratolino, a famous Medici complex in the hills north of Florence (connected to the city by local public transport), consisting of historic buildings within a monumental park that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Students will have the chance to enjoy an immersive experience among art, history, and nature, thanks to the opportunity to stay in the Villa’s guesthouse, available while places last and at a reasonable cost.

Mousikè: concerts for the masterclass students

As the culmination of the masterclasses, the spring concerts of Mousikè — the international festival of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole — will be held in the splendid Sala Rossa of the Paggeria of Villa Demidoff, and students may take part upon the teachers’ recommendation.
