Singing masterclass at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole
Teacher: Maria Agresta – 1 session
Collaborative pianist: to be defined
The singing masterclass taught by Maria Agresta offers young singers an unmissable opportunity to meet the celebrated soprano. Students will be able to deepen their vocal technique and expressiveness under the guidance of an artist of extraordinary vocal abilities and great interpretative depth.
Since winning the Spoleto Competition in 2006, soprano Maria Agresta has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages, alongside leading conductors of our time, interpreting the principal roles of the melodrama and endowing her characters with the infinite expressive nuances made possible by her extraordinary voice and her meticulous interpretative insight.
During the singing masterclass lessons at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, young singers will be able to deepen the technical, vocal, and musical aspects of the pieces they present, thanks to the valuable guidance of a musician such as Maria Agresta, who combines her great talent with the formative legacy received from her teachers, the renowned Raina Kabaivanska and Renato Bruson.
The singing masterclass takes place in the spaces of Villa Demidoff in Pratolino, on the hills surrounding Florence, within a Medici complex renowned worldwide for its park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Villa’s guesthouse is available to students, who may stay there at a modest cost, subject to availability.
The masterclass will take place upon reaching a minimum number of enrolments.
At the conclusion of the singing masterclass, students may take part in Mousikè, the international festival of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, whose concerts are held in the splendid Red Hall of the Paggeria of Villa Demidoff.
