Vera Martínez Mehner – Masterclass di Vera Martínez Mehner – Violin Masterclass

Vera Martínez Mehner has been first violin of the renowned Cuarteto Casals since its founding and is a soloist with prestigious orchestras and celebrated conductors. She is also a member of Ensemble Funktion, dedicated to contemporary music, and collaborates with artists such as Gérard Caussé, Harald Schoneweg, Marta Gulyás, and her brother, the pianist Claudio Martínez Mehner.

She teaches at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and, together with her colleagues from the Cuarteto Casals and Heime Müller, teaches the postgraduate course in string quartet at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

The intensive work of the violin lessons with Vera Martínez Mehner guides young instrumentalists in deepening their preparation, acquiring a new awareness of the tools required for musical interpretation through direct contact with a multifaceted artist of great experience.

As with all masterclasses of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, the activities of the violin masterclass take place at Villa Demidoff in Pratolino, on the hills surrounding Florence, where students may also stay in the guesthouse at a modest cost, subject to availability.

The masterclass will be activated upon reaching a minimum number of participants.

As a culmination of the masterclasses, the Red Hall of the Paggeria of Villa Demidoff hosts the concerts of Mousikè, the festival organized by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, in a setting that combines the natural beauty of the Medici park with the Renaissance sculptures that have made it famous worldwide.
