After completing the Piccolissimi musici ensemble, children may join the Crescendo ensemble. Admission requires a basic command of first position, familiarity with one-octave scales, and a working knowledge of basic rhythmic patterns.
The aim of the course is to develop students’ instrumental skills through the practice of ensemble music-making.
The ensemble consists of approximately 20 children and rehearses weekly. The Crescendo ensemble takes part in cultural events organised by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, sometimes in collaboration with other institutions.The ensemble is also open to external students, following a placement audition. The admission requirements are the same as those for students already enrolled at the school.
Regular group instruction complements and supports each student’s individual instrumental studies, while playing in the ensemble enriches their musical expression through shared performance.
