The Escursioni Armoniche Choir of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole continues the legacy of the Laboratorio corale delle Cure (Cure Choral Workshop), established by the School in 2001 with the aim of promoting musical culture through choral singing.
The choir’s objective is to introduce people to music through active participation, based on the belief that making music leads to a deeper understanding of the musical experience. No previous musical knowledge is required to join the choir; admission is based solely on a simple audition designed to assess the applicant’s musical aptitude.
Directed by Chiara Quattrini, an experienced pianist and choral conductor, the Escursioni Armoniche Choir performs a repertoire that spans different historical periods and musical traditions, including sacred and secular music, spirituals, folk music and works by the great classical composers. Its aim is to introduce participants to the rich variety and expressive possibilities of choral music. The choir takes part in selected concert projects organised by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, as well as in numerous choral festivals promoted by organisations throughout Tuscany, continuing its commitment to making musical culture accessible to the widest possible audience.
