S-bandiamo! is the ensemble that brings beginner pupils learning to play wind and percussion instruments together in a band, with the aim of offering everyone an engaging and enjoyable introduction to music.
The activity offered by S-bandiamo! is based on the “Accent on Achievement” method used in the “Orchestrando” project promoted by Yamaha: pupils are guided in performing short musical pieces, starting from the knowledge of a single sound and gradually increasing the level of difficulty.
Group participation and involvement in teamwork are the fundamental principles of the project, and are highly effective in creating new incentives to learn. Participation in the ensemble lasts for two years, after which the youngest participants can enrol in the School’s basic courses.
