The percussion masterclass taught by Johannes Fischer brings young musicians into contact with a versatile and surprising artist, with extensive concert and teaching experience.
Winner of first prize and four special prizes at the 56th ARD International Music Competition in Munich, Johannes Fischer is active as a performer, composer, improviser, and teacher, and approaches the synergies between different artistic fields with great curiosity and energy.
His international solo career is accompanied by collaborations with other instrumentalists, composers, and artists from different disciplines, exploring every musical field without limitations and with equal passion.
Formerly a teacher at the Conservatorio di Lugano, since 2009 he has been teaching at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck.
Meeting Johannes Fischer during the masterclass at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole will be of great interest to young percussionists: the valuable guidance of an experienced teacher will be combined with the stimuli offered by a musical mind open to every form of experimentation.
The lessons of the percussion masterclass by Johannes Fischer will take place in San Domenico, within the Villa La Torraccia complex.
The masterclass will be activated upon reaching a minimum number of participants.
At the end of the percussion masterclass, the Red Hall of the Paggeria of Villa Demidoff in Pratolino – a splendid treasure of art and nature and a UNESCO World Heritage Site – will host the concerts of Mousikè, the international festival of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

The masterclass includes a minimum of four lessons

Individual attendance fee to be paid in a single instalment before the beginning of the masterclass via Pago PA: €500.
Auditor fee: €60.
Students of the School may attend free of charge as auditors and may participate as active students with a reduction of €100 per masterclass.
