The annual postgraduate course in bassoon at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole enables young graduated bassoonists to further develop their musical skills and their knowledge of the bassoon repertoire under the guidance of a highly experienced principal teacher, supported by distinguished visiting professors who will hold sessions dedicated to advanced bassoon training.
Numerous performance opportunities complete the educational offering to students of the postgraduate bassoon course, allowing them to test the level of preparation achieved through public concerts.
Thanks to its high educational standard, the postgraduate bassoon course prepares talented young bassoonists for leading professional careers in the musical field.
Scholarships are available for the most deserving students through an annual internal competition (March/April).
The postgraduate course in bassoon is intended for musicians who hold a pre-reform Diploma (V.O.) or a first-level AFAM diploma; exceptionally, particularly talented students who have not yet graduated may also be admitted.
The course will be activated upon reaching a minimum number of students.
Auditors are admitted.
The program of the postgraduate course in bassoon includes the study of solo, chamber, and orchestral bassoon repertoire, with particular attention to the preparation of auditions and competitions.
During the year, recitals by the best students are scheduled, at the sole discretion of the teacher.
For admission to the postgraduate course in bassoon, candidates are required to present two pieces of their choice in contrasting styles.

Annual individual enrollment fee for the course (non-refundable, payable at the time of application) and also valid as an auditor fee: €130.
Annual individual attendance fee, to be paid in a single installment by 10 November or in monthly installments by bank direct debit/credit card with a 5% surcharge: €1,200.
