During the year, masterclasses with internationally renowned teachers and artists may also be organised, giving students the opportunity to engage with different interpretative approaches and broaden their artistic and professional experience.
Students also have the opportunity to take part in the concerts organised by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, gaining performance experience. They may also compete for merit-based scholarships through an annual competition, as a recognition of their commitment and achievements.
At a professional level, the high-level training offered by the Postgraduate course in flute provides an excellent starting point for aspiring to prestigious professional opportunities in the field of music.
The course activities are designed to enable students to learn how to develop a correct and effective daily practice routine. A personalised pathway leads to an in-depth study of a selection of works from the flute repertoire, both solo and chamber music, as well as orchestral excerpts.
- improvement of flute technique;
- interpretation and shaping of phrasing;
- ensemble technique;
- solo, orchestral and chamber music repertoire;
- preparation for orchestral competitions;
- preparation for international competitions;
- audition simulations (mock auditions);
- psychological preparation and performance management.
The postgraduate flute course is primarily intended for musicians holding a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma. Exceptionally talented young musicians who do not yet hold these qualifications may also be admitted.
Auditors are accepted.
The Postgraduate course in flute is intended for flautists who wish to deepen their artistic and technical training through a highly qualifying programme, focused both on developing their personal musical identity and on preparing for a professional career.
