Summer music camps for children aged 5 to 11
Open to all children aged 5 to 11, the Summer Music Camps are music orientation workshops specifically designed to introduce participants to the world of music in an engaging and enjoyable way. This first encounter is intended to inspire children to begin studying music, an art form with significant educational value.
Throughout the camp, participants have the opportunity to discover and try the musical instruments best suited to their age under the guidance of the teachers of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. During the activities, teachers observe each child’s aptitudes and, at the end of the course, can advise families on the possible choice of an instrument for future study.
In addition to instrumental workshops, participants attend choir singing lessons, an experience that promotes not only musical development but also social interaction. Children learn to work together in a constructive and rewarding environment. For this reason, the music orientation workshops should also be considered an important educational experience, regardless of whether participants decide to continue studying music.
Each morning, children have the opportunity to take part in workshops for:
violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, harpsichord, harp, guitar, choir singing, percussion, accordion, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, saxophone.
In the afternoon, activities take place in the park and include relaxation, free and organised games, and creative expression workshops.
For parents who need to drop off or collect their children outside the workshop schedule, a teacher will be available with the following timings:
Short day: 8:00–8:30 a.m. and 12:00–12:30 p.m.
Full day: 8:00–8:30 a.m. and 4:15–5:00 p.m.
A 30-minute morning break is scheduled for snacks and games in the park. Children may bring their own snack and drink.

Workshops will be activated only if the minimum number of participants is reached. Applications are accepted in the order they are received until all places are filled. A 5% discount is granted for each additional week booked.

Attendance at the Music orientation workshops does not provide any preferential admission to the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. Admission procedures are governed by the School Regulations, available in the Regulations section.
