The Scuola di Musica di Fiesole is part of the Erasmus+ program, the European Union’s best-known and longest-running mobility program, which supports study, teaching and training periods across EU Member States and other countries associated with the program (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Türkiye, Serbia and North Macedonia).
Erasmus+ is open to everyone working within educational institutions participating in the program, at all levels of education.
Erasmus+ activities can take place either as outgoing mobility (from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole to a partner institution) or incoming mobility (from a partner institution to the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole).
Students, administrative staff and academic staff involved in the academic programs can participate in Erasmus+ activities for study, traineeships, teaching and training. At the same time, students, teachers and staff from partner institutions abroad may attend the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole through incoming mobility projects.
All activities and examinations completed during the mobility period are eligible for recognition of both credits and grades.The Scuola di Musica di Fiesole is accredited for the Erasmus+ program for AFAM institutions. In addition, participants may have the opportunity to take part in special international projects involving other areas of the school’s activities.
The equivalent Swiss European Mobility Programm (SEMP) enables students, teachers and staff to participate in mobility programs funded by the Swiss Confederation.

Study and traineeship mobility opportunities abroad are available to students enrolled in the academic programs of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
First-level AFAM degree students may participate in Erasmus+ mobility starting from the second year of study and only after obtaining their upper secondary school diploma.
Second-level AFAM degree students may begin Erasmus+ mobility from the second semester of their first academic year.

Incoming
Bachelor and Master students from Erasmus+ countries are welcome to choose the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole for their study mobility.
Our school is located in the beautiful Villa La Torraccia, a 16th century building surrounded by a splendid park. The centre of Florence is only a few kilometres away (Palazzo Vecchio / Uffizi Gallery 6 km.).
By choosing the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole you will be immersed into a stimulating environment full of activities, surrounded by the beauty and history of the Florentine area.
Teachers and staff members from academic institutions in the programme countries are also very welcome.

Language requirements
Classes at SCUOLA DI FIESOLE are given in Italian. Although most of our teachers speak English or other languages, you must have at least an appropriate knowledge of the Italian language: the recommended language level is B1. The incoming students can do an italian course at CLA (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo): contact the ERASMUS OFFICE to define the course email erasmus@scuolamusica.fiesole.fi.it
To be able to acquire the credits and have access to the exams, it is necessary to have attended at least 80% of the lessons. You will be informed of exam dates and
times by the student office.

Insurance
All incoming European students should have the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which entitles the holder to get necessary treatments at the same cost as an insured person living in the country you are visiting. The card is valid only for state-provided services, as private health is not covered.
When accidents occur during the didactic activities in the school locations, students in international mobility are covered by injury and civil liability insurance.
We strongly recommend that students ensure they have medical insurance before their arrival and we also highly recommend to provide a liability insurance to cover any accidental damage caused to other people or properties.

DSU Toscana accommodation places are reserved for students enrolled at universities in Tuscany who are recipients of a scholarship and housing grant.
Temporary accommodation for students participating in international mobility programs (e.g. Erasmus), as well as other users such as researchers and professors, is possible only if there are temporarily available beds in our residences (for example, when our resident students are taking part in international mobility programs).
