Domenico Orlando – Oboe (2025–2026)

Postgraduate course in oboe
Teacher: Domenico Orlando – 6 sessions
Visiting professor: Simone Sommerhalder – 2 sessions
The annual postgraduate course in oboe at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole is an advanced training program aimed at young oboists who hold a pre-reform (Vecchio Ordinamento) diploma or a first-level AFAM diploma. Under the guidance of a prominent musician with extensive teaching and performance experience, students improve their musical skills and deepen their knowledge of oboe repertoire.
Consistent with the school’s educational approach, public performance is an integral part of the learning process. Students of the postgraduate course in oboe have the opportunity to take part in concerts, testing the level they have achieved and gaining experience in connecting with the audience.
The most deserving students may apply for scholarships awarded by the school through an internal competition held each year between March and April.
Thanks to the course’s outstanding educational quality, it offers young talented oboists excellent career opportunities in the field of professional music.
