The Youth Choir offers young singers the opportunity to explore and develop their musical skills through choral practice.
Joining the Youth Choir allows participants to discover new repertoires and meet other young people who share the same passion for music and singing.
Through the course, singers develop a correct use of the singing voice for expressive and musical purposes, focusing on vocal care, proper breathing, diction, enhancement of natural abilities and improvement of individual skills. The programme also develops listening skills, intonation, vocal technique and posture, enabling singers to use their body effectively. The educational programme includes activities aimed at developing and improving music reading and sight-singing skills.Young people aged 16 to 24 can join the Youth Choir after successfully passing an aptitude test designed to assess each candidate’s basic musical abilities, including sense of rhythm and intonation.
Once accepted, singers begin their training together with the Choral Training Choir of the three-year programme at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

The course includes a 90-minute weekly lesson on Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
